Free TV? Why yes, there is such a thing. If you have a computer -- you probably wouldn't be reading this if you didn't-- , and enough bandwith to view those annoying commercial ads that seem to be on everyone's site, you'll be able to watch some of your favorite shows and movies for free!
If you are like hubby and I, you don't have or cannot afford cable, and you lost all of your "free" basic channels in the great digital shift a few years ago. I even have digital TVs with built in tuners but pixelation makes them pretty much unwatchable. So we found ourselves in a dilemma.
Actually, we were freaking out! We couldn't watch Supernatural or How I Met Your Mother anymore without missing half the show while the pixels tried to unfreeze themselves.
It sucked.
So, we went online. Here's what we found:
Everyone knows there are thousands of bootleg sites out there where you can watch or download your favorite shows for free. However, they are hardly worth the chance of being picked off by the FCC as a violator and fined. Some people have even been imprisoned for such risky business. To be on the safe, and legal, side I suggest you avoid those sites or try them at your own risk. Dun, dun, dun! (cue crack of lightening)
