My sister says I have a strange knack for finding things for free or getting a great discount. It's true. I don't believe in paying full price unless I cannot find it anywhere else for better. People are always asking me where I got this or how I got that. Then, they're amazed at the fact that I paid a third of what they paid for it.
I carry a bright pink Liz Claiborne purse that I bought brand new at the store for $2.00. Of course this was a extreme case. I'd be very hard pressed to find that sort of deal again but my last Apostrophe bag and the last Nine West purse I bought cost a whopping $11. How? Because I don't mess around when it comes to finding a deal.
I'm that weirdo digging all the way to the back of the sales racks in the purse department until I find that fabulous Gucci you just missed for $9 bucks.
I'm that freak who had all of her kid's christmas presents bought and paid for by March at home drinking cocoa while you run around in November fighting crowds and beating down other parents for that perfect toy.
I'm the nutjob prowling your local Macy's once a week near the end of the season waiting on that 80% markdown that always comes.
I'm that crazy mother whose 3T child has his wardrobe planned out until he's size 12 boys.
I'm the gorgeous bride who paid $350 (with shoes, purse, and veil) for her new $2000 Oleg Cassini dream wedding gown.
Yep, that's me. I'm a discount diva, a freebie queen, and I just LOVE a good deal.
Sure the economy is down, but you can still live it up. I've got tips, tricks, know-how, and all sorts of links to free and discounted fun to help you live life but not give an arm and a leg to do it.
Take my hand and let me teach you the way of thrift.
